Operational Guidelines

Read carefully. These rules keep things fair and helpful for everyone.

You can clear when…
  • The ambulance owner is offline, and the vehicle owner has been offline > 1 hour.
  • The transport is EMS or prisoner (you may only cancel; you cannot choose the destination).
You must not clear when…
  • Someone not yet on scene is responding with an ETA under 5 minutes.
  • It’s a medical-only call.
Use good judgment
  • Consider how long the mission still needs to complete and if vehicles are still required.
  • If they’re the only user on a shared call, avoid canceling for no reason.
Custom mission transport clears
  1. The call has been completed.
  2. No units are responding, or responding units are 15+ minutes away.
  3. The owner or a member on scene has requested the clear.
Etiquette with other TAs

If another TA has denied a request, be courteous and honor their decision (unless a Moderator+ overrules). Otherwise, you’re free to clear transports anytime it’s appropriate under these rules.
